April 17, Ruffle Sleeves

After yesterday’s long post where I shared my deep personal thoughts, today I am keeping it short and sweet. I’m wearing white jeans and this cute ruffle sleeve blouse.

I could have just paired my white jeans with a simple blue t shirt and neutral flats, which is perfectly fine, but wouldn’t you agree that the outfit on the right is a little more fun?

I love the details on the this blouse. It’s a very subtle blue and white stripe, plus the ruffle sleeve is a fun detail that makes this top stand out.

I kind of look pregnant in this shot- I swear I’m not! But I wanted you to see how the back dips down, covering my butt!

Look how cute the ruffle on the sleeve is!

Feb 7th, Black and Blue

I have a work event this morning and I want to look professional, yet current so I’ve opted for this gorgeous silk shirt and black pants.

On the right I am wearing baggy dress pants- and although they are very nice pants, paired with this large and loose top it looks out of balance.

On the left I have re-worked it by pairing the large top with skinny pants. This works much better because  when you go large on top you should go small on bottom, and vice versa! Adding the long necklace and black boots finishes the outfit.

Remember, when wearing pants these tight, just be sure the top is large enough to cover your bum.

If you are not comfortable wearing skinny pants- try a cigarette  (or straight leg) style pant- they are not as tight- but still very slimming.

As long as your top covers your bum, anyone can rock the skinnys.
